My mother has always been my greatest inspiration in the kitchen. Before embracing a fully vegan lifestyle, I was vegetarian—and it was during that transition that my passion for cooking truly ignited. I found myself longing for the bold, comforting flavors of my childhood—the traditional Mexican dishes that defined so many family moments. So I set out to recreate those nostalgic staples in a way that aligned with my values, transforming them into plant-based versions that still honored their roots.
That personal journey gave rise to KOMEME.
While we're best known for our empanadas (and yes—they really are that good), KOMEME is more than just a menu. It's a celebration of flavor, heritage, and sustainability. Our offerings evolve with the seasons, inspired by what's fresh and available from our local farming community. Nearly all of our produce is sourced from nearby farmers’ markets, allowing us to stay creative while supporting regenerative, community-based agriculture.
We’ll always have empanadas on the menu—just with a rotating cast of seasonal flavors that keep things exciting and earth-friendly.
