My mom has always been my greatest source of inspiration when it comes to my cooking. Before I went all the way vegan, I was vegetarian, and it was at that point that my interest in cooking peaked. ​I wanted to fulfill my cravings for the staples and authentic Mexican flavors of my childhood. So, I took it upon myself to mimic certain recipes which inspired a sense of nostalgia in me; I wanted to perfect them and share them.

Komeme is mostly known for its empanadas, and the ​demand and support has been astounding. Our food is bomb! We have other items on the menu, but we will always carry empanadas and switch out flavors according to the season. Our produce, almost exclusively, comes from our fellow farmers at the markets, and we create based on what is available at the time.
